I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
